At The Hills Companies, management is not a “man behind the curtain.” We believe our clients deserve the full attention of our management staff, which is why even the President is actively involved in every one of our construction projects.
Our team approach means that, in addition to principal involvement, you can expect the following from our project management:
Working initially with the Owner and Architect to refine the preliminary estimates to establish cost and quality parameters for the design team.
Receiving a project schedule that will be used to manage the activity time frames of each team member and serve to coordinate the effort throughout the project’s duration.
Collaborating during the design and construction phases of the project using cutting edge software to include the following:
- Timberline Project Manager—As a document control database, this software allows users to track all requests for information (RFI) forms, submittals, transmittals, meeting minutes, change orders, and more. Architects, Engineers, and Owners will review the RFI log on a weekly basis.
- Microsoft Project—Utilizing this scheduling software, we are enabled to meet the finish date of your project by outlining the specific deadlines that have to be met along the way. It also allows us to use a ‘cost load’ feature, which, when used with a schedule of values, tracks and compares allocated funds to the percentage of project completion.
- Precision Estimating—This estimating software comes with a digitizer and large database of unit-prices that have been gathered from the ‘Means’ catalog and other industry standard rates. In only a few minutes, Precision Estimating can produce an accurate, itemized estimate.
